In 1977, at the end of Kūrmājas Prospect, a Monument was set up to commemorate sailors and fishermen who were lost at sea. The monument features a woman looking out to sea and waiting for her son, father, husband, loved one. This bronze figure stands on an 11 m high pedestal.
