Sarkandaugava’s Great Mountain Cemetery was once the burial ground of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran congregation.
The cemetery was opened in 1900. Next to it, in the area of what is now Sarkandaugava Park, was the cemetery of the Alexandrov Hospital, where burials took place until the early 1930s.
