Monument is installed among vast Zemgale fields, near Kambaru farmstead, where severe battles took place in January 1945. More than 3000 soldiers lost their lives. The monument made by I. Lāčgalve-Kaminska and B. Artmanis was moved to "Kambari" from Annenieki Strautakrogs military cemetery after reburial of soldiers to Dobele.
